Why this matters to us
Service develops leadership, resilience, teamwork and adaptability – qualities that matter in a complex and changing energy system.
We believe that no member of the Armed Forces community should face disadvantage in employment, and that organisations have a responsibility to support people as they move between roles, careers and stages of life.
What we are doing
We have practical measures in place to support members of the Armed Forces community across Equinor UK, including:
- Supporting employees who are active reservists by recognising and accommodating their training and deployment commitments
- Fair and inclusive recruitment practices that recognise transferable skills and experience
- Building internal awareness to better support veterans, reservists and military families
- Participating in careers and outreach activities to improve understanding of opportunities within Equinor UK
- Supporting colleagues in meeting civic responsibilities and national events of remembrance
These actions, together with our Silver Award in the Ministry of Defence's Employer Recognition Scheme, reflect our ongoing efforts to support members of the Armed Forces community and foster an inclusive workplace.
